Successful completion of Activity 3: Empowering youth through collaborative consultation for sustainability and creation of Training curriculum for youth from marginalized groups and youth workers

We are thrilled to announce successful completion of Activity 3 as part of our ongoing project Empower SDGs: Gaming for Global Impact, which brought together over 20 youth workers for a dynamic consultative meeting. The meeting, attended by youth workers, leaders, and activists involved in the project from 4 countries (Spain, Serbia, Greece and Turkiye), aimed to gather valuable ideas and suggestions for the development of a Training curriculum for youth workers working with marginalized youth in the field of sustainability and sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Their active involvement has provided a unique opportunity to directly shape the content and structure of the curriculum with their innovative ideas and insights. Throughout the process, they contributed to the development and proposal of non-formal education activities that will serve as practical tools for future users of the publication. These activities will offer hands-on guidance for those working with marginalized youth, fostering engagement and with sustainability and SDG-related topics.

The Training curriculum also has a one-of-a-kind checklist for accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability to help youth workers and youth organisations double check if their educational activities and events are inclusive for young people with fewer opportunities.

One of the key achievements of this activity is the multilingual nature of the curriculum, which will be made available in English, Spanish, Turkish, Greek and Serbian. This ensures that the content will reach a wide audience and support youth workers across various regions in addressing critical issues related to sustainability and marginalized communities.

As we move forward, we are excited to see how this collaboratively designed Training curriculum will support youth workers in their mission to empower marginalized youth, ensuring that they have the tools and resources needed to actively engage with the 2030 Agenda and build a more sustainable and inclusive future.

Stay tuned for more updates!
