The Final Conference of the EmpowerSDGs: Gaming for Global Impact project took place on 12 June
2025, in Larissa, Greece. The event brought together more than 30 stakeholders, professionals, and
educators who work with youth and young people with fewer opportunities.
The event featured contributions from staff members of the partner organizations, as well as three guest
speakers from:
● iGEM Thessaly, an interdisciplinary team of young researchers from various departments of the
University of Thessaly working on SDGs
● Municipal Youth Council of Larissa which aims to be the voice of young people in our city.
And
● Regional Scout Authority of Central and Western Thessaly, an official global ambassador for the
UN Sustainable Development Goals, which aims to contribute to the education of young people
and help build a better world.
The conference aimed to present the project’s main results and demonstrate how its tools and
methodologies can be integrated into local initiatives and broader youth engagement strategies.
The Final Conference served as a platform for sharing ideas and as a catalyst for ongoing collaboration in
promoting inclusive, SDG-aligned education through gamification.
