In the premises of the European House in Belgrade, on Thursday, May 29, 2025, we presented the results of the “EmpowerSDGs” project at the event called “Get involved – tools for social inclusion”. The event brought together representatives of the youth sector in Serbia, trainers, facilitators, youth workers and other stakeholders who work with young people, especially young people from marginalized groups.

At the beginning of the event, Uroš Anđelković, the project coordinator, reflected on the past 18 months of the project and presented the key results of the project:

  1. Training curriculum for non-formal education for sustainable development of young people from marginalized groups
  2. Gamification platform for learning about Sustainable Development Goals

He explained the processes and project activities that led to the final look of both the Training Curriculum and the platform. He underlined that the Curriculum is a useful tool that provides practical guidelines, methods and activities for youth workers and organizations, which combines theory and practice on sustainable development, but also shows the connections between social inclusion of young people and the implementation of sustainable development goals. Uroš added that the Gamification Platform was an upgrade to learning about sustainable development goals, which consists of an interactive game that gives young people the opportunity to explore the goals in a fun way and try out different challenges and tasks

In the second part of the event, Mila Lukić, Arka’s program manager, guided the attendees through the content of the Curriculum, explaining how it can be used in practice. At the end of the presentation, she presented the Checklist for Inclusivity and Accessibility of Youth Activities, as an added value of the project, which enables everyone who organizes different types of activities to ensure in time that they are inclusive and accessible for all young people.

These tools were created by the joint effort of 20+ youth workers and activists from Greece, Serbia, Spain and Turkey, who provided guidelines and directly contributed to the creation of these results through several months of engagement. The Arka Foundation once again thanks everyone who was part of this process and invites all those interested to download the Curriculum and try the Platform through the following links
